It was Kate’s dream to get married on her parents’ property in the town where she and Cooper grew up, and where their love story began! A party on a private residence is no small feet - You are basically building your venue from the ground up, and that’s exactly what we did.
Tenting and rentals from Benson Tent Rent provided the structure we needed, and Wild Posies Floral and Organic Roots Catering brought in the beautiful touches of flowers and food to make this ceremony a dream celebration with Kate + Cooper’s closest family and friends! A fight against wind leading up to the ceremony is one of the many reasons having a catering staff is OH SO important!! Our teams had to reset the table settings and table decor and then reset again… and again… and again… until the wind finally died down just in time for guest arrival :)
One of the biggest perks to hosting your wedding on private property is the ability to add all of the small, personal touches that you might not have the time to think of at a rented venue or facility. Kate + Cooper used potted plants that were a part of the home’s landscape design, wine glasses from their parents to use during communion, and best of all, they sailed off on a speedboat as their unforgettable, grand exit!
If you’re planning your wedding on any kind of private property, look to your wedding planner for guidance to bring all of the pieces together! Without the support of a venue or facility manager, a lot of the grunt work will fall on you, UNLESS you bring in a dream team to help bring your vision to life!!
